Portable Solar Charging Station

This unique off-grid Solar Charging drum has been designed and manufactured in the UK, by Mobile Solar Chargers Ltd. The Can provides silent phone/Tablet charging (5V-12V), is portable, modular, and easy to store, and all parts are individually replaceable for extended life. 

It is intended to replace some of the need for noisy, expensive generators. It is particularly suited to Refugee Camps, Disaster relief, Mobile Clinics, off-grid Rural Areas, and Glamping and camping areas at Festivals.

There are two versions, with multiple 5-12V power outputs and optional AGM Batteries, both modular with the ability to add further accessories at a later date, such as Lighting, WiFi & CCTV.

We have a range of Battery options or they can be supplied by the Customer for ease of shipping.

The Standard Solar Charging Can has removable galvanised steel fixtures and fittings, 140W Monocrystalline Solar Panel, optional 220Ah AGM batteries and is most suitable for mid-long term deployments, such as Glamping, Refugee Camps and off-grid solar power. This version can be upgraded up to 400W Solar panels and 280Ah AGM Batteries.

The Premium version (White in the picture below) uses a 3m Carbon fibre telescopic pole & collapsible tubes and fittings which can be stored in the drum for storage and transport and a fully flexible 180W solar panel. This version can also be upgraded to 400W ETFE Solar & 280Ah AGM Batteries.  This version is most suitable for short-term deployment where weight and compactness are a priority for transport and storage, i.e. Disaster Relief and mobile Clinics.

Optional accessories for both, include LED floodlights (PIR sensor), additional battery, additional solar panels, remote CCTV, mobile WiFi router, (MiFi) and removable Li-Po Power banks 5V-240V up to 1000Wh.

Painted Steel Drum with detachable top, vents, carrying handles and Containing :

• 140W/18V 10.7A MonoCrystalline waterproof Flexible solar panel.
• 12V Waterproof Solar safe charge regulator and controller.
  
• 2m detachable galvanized steel Pole and Couplings.
• Pre-assembled full wiring loom with waterproof IP67 connectors, 12V quick-release dual Battery lead.
  
• Lockable steel box containing a control panel with integrated solar controller and USB 5V/12V power outlets.
• Battery options of 2 x 110Ah or 2 x 140Ah AGM long-life.
  
• 10 year + service life.

The Premium Solar Charging Can has in Addition :

• Steel replaced with a 3m Carbon fibre detachable telescopic Pole, Frame and Couplings.
• All fit within the Drum for storage & easy transport

The  MonoCrystalline lightweight flexible solar panel will automatically recharge the AGM batteries and power the outlets during all hours of sunlight.

The 12V safe charge solar regulator has a digital display showing the solar and battery status and ensures that the current and voltage stay within the limits of the battery and adapt to any variations in solar generation, i.e. cloud cover. It will automatically take into account if an additional battery is added to the circuit.

Both versions of the Solar Charging Station can charge all USB devices (Phones/Tablets/Cameras), 12V (Portable Radios, Portable Ultrasound, Portable Totalcool air coolers, Laptops) & run 600W Inverter.

The remote CCTV, WiFi can be added at a later date, the wiring loom includes the necessary connectors at manufacture.

The Solar Charging Can is designed to be plug & play and can be assembled by one or two people, with no technical experience, in under half an hour or disassembled for movement or storage in the same time.

It is a modular power generator since although most end-users may have different requirements, the basic Solar Charging Can has an instant change of use by adding an inverter, MiFi, CCTV or removable Li-Po super-power banks.

Since each Solar Charging Can is made to order (1 month lead time)  it is possible to adapt to specific requirements, i.e. Variations in LEDs, CCTV, WiFi, auxiliary charging of other devices.
